The Descendants of Valentine Hollingsworth Senior Society (DVHSS) is the family surname organization for all Hollingsworth and related families in North America.
DVHSS was formed in 1993 for historical, educational, preservational, and genealogical research purposes, which would assist the descendants and other researchers with factual records of their lines with their geographical progression. Since that date the Society membership has expanded as the Society has engaged in the following activities:
Publication of an extensive quarterly journal
Established and maintains an organizational website and Facebook page
Annual Society reunions
Preservation of family historical information and artifacts
Support for Hollingsworth historical sites
Research and documentation of family genealogy
Maintains a family tree database with over 59K direct descendants of Valentine
Member assistance with genealogy research
Supports Active Hollingsworth DNA Test Program with over 500 members
Documentation of Family Military Service History
Anyone who descends from a Hollingsworth or related family line is welcome to join our Society, as well as anyone else who shares an interest in Hollingsworth ancestry and history. The annual membership fee is $30 US for members receiving our Journal via email and $40 US for those receiving the printed Journal. Individuals wishing to join can fill out the application form on this site and complete payment via credit card or by mailing a check to our Treasurer. Our member year runs from July 1 to June 30.
Current members may also use this site to renew their membership at the above rates. Gift memberships are also available at $15 US, providing only a year of email Journals but no other regular member benefits.
